Rochester NY Wedding|A long awaited snowy winter love story|winter engagement session
I’ve been trying to put together a snowy winter stylized shoot for 3 years. Our winters have been so uncooperative! Either we’d get a ton of snow for a week or two, or we’d get nothing but rain and wind. This winter I had everything lined up, a florist with an amazing idea (wait until you see what Erie Way Florals created!), a couple willing to be flexible with their schedule, and a rental company willing to loan me some amazing pieces. We tried to do this in January, Mother Nature decided it was a good weekend for a storm. We tried again in the beginning of February, Mother Nature decided it was time for Jill from Erie Way Florals daughter in law to go into labor, so we scheduled it one more time. Turns out that the third time was truly the charm!
So let’s start with Jill’s creation. When I told her I wanted to do a snowy shoot, she sent me a photo of a fir skirt, asking if I thought it would be ok for the shoot. OMG YES! And what she created is truly gorgeous!

I mean, come on. Seriously? What winter bride wouldn’t love to have a few photos of herself in something like this out in the snow? This is magical!
The rest of the shoot was just as magical.
From the Hot Chocolate bar, to the red sleigh, to the white enamel tub filled with ice and champagne. It was all perfection. My couple dealt with the cold like champs (wow those hand warmers take forever to warm up!)
Dave Jones of Empire West Photo created a fantastic video from our shoot.
